Cloud Raiders Flies Its Way To The Windows Store

Game Insight has announced the release of Cloud Raiders on the Windows Store. The new release features crisp graphics, optimized controls and much more for gamers looking to play the game on their Surface Pro 3. Are you ready to start your adventure and take to the skies in Cloud Raiders? Read on.

From the Press Release
Game Insight has just released Cloud Raiders, a cross-platform strategy game featuring epic real-time 200-vs-200-units battles, on Windows Store. Cloud Raiders already allows players to engage in combat with other users no matter where they’re playing, be it Windows Phone, Android, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, or Facebook. The game is arriving on Windows 8 with an extra helping of special sauce in the form of tantalizing ULTRA-HD HYPER-CRISP graphics, and optimized controls for mouse and touch devices, like Microsoft’s flagship tablet Surface Pro 3.

Set in a sky filled with floating island strongholds, Cloud Raiders features expansive battles with up to 200 units on each side that are actually battling against opposing troops, not just monotonously demolishing a building. Players direct their forces in real time with Command Flags, and swing the tide of battle in their favor by unleashing devastating artillery on invaders and defensive buffs to support their troops. Fortress defense strategies unfold in real time as players rally troops from their bunkers and launch salvos of cannon fire, poison bombs and freezing spells with drag-and-drop targeting to repel oncoming enemies. Once the dust settles, players take the battle to their attackers by leading counter-assaults on enemy bases of operations.

Weekly challenges offer players a new way to compete in timed tasks for prizes worth tens of thousands in in-game currency. New types of special troops with unique abilities arrive at player’s islands each week to be trained and formed into elite squads to take on the most daunting raids, like the weekly Treasure Island, where players are pitted against fearsome enemies in a race against the clock to win valuable prizes. Players can join a clan or form one with their friends, then claim victory in PvP raids to win Valor and top the weekly leaderboards. Clan Tasks, which will become available next week, help advance clans through experience levels and grant their own special benefits, like improved resource production, faster troop training, and much more.

The brand-new Campaign Conquest lets players tackle three increasingly challenging versions of each mission. Once all of the missions in a campaign have been mastered, the player earns the opportunity to relocate their island fortress to a new landscape, which could be anything from a raft reclaimed from pirates, to a desert island won back from goblins, or even territory captured from an unknown enemy.
