Dragon Con 2014 wraps up today with this year being one of the best times yet to attend some of the greatest showings of pop culture anywhere in the world. The event for 2014 featured a fantastic guest list for fans of various films and television shows. Just a few of the guests at the event included Sir Patrick Stewart, Karl Urban, Ralph Macchio, Cary Elwes, Julie Benz, Jeri Ryan, Neslan Ellis, Walter Koenig and John Ratzenberger in addition to some masters behind the camera including James Gunn and Terry Gilliam. Tons of panels were featured live at the event, and Dragon Con invited us to some of the most exclusive to give fans a behind the scenes look at some of their favorite television and movie stars.

One event that stood out among the rest featured actress Julie Benz. The starlet had her breakthrough role on the television series Dexter, where she played the wife of a serial killer and divorced mother of two young children. Fans of the show will know the character of Rita met an untimely end during the middle of the show's duration. Benz also took on the role of Amanda Rosewater on the SyFy original Defiance. During the press conference, the actress talked a lot about her many character portrayals over her career including that of Rita on Dexter and revealed some details some fans might not have known. The press conference was very interesting, and we couldn't help but wonder what is next for the actress.

The BioGamer Girl team was also lucky enough to check out the Being Human press conference to hear from actors Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington, Kristen Hager and Meagan Rath. The actors talked a lot about their characters and all of the epic seasons of the show. Fans of the show were in for a treat when the actors revealed some behind the scenes information that received a great response from the crowd at the panel. Being Human can go down in history as one of the more popular shows to ever air on television, and the press conference was full of more than enough information to satisfy all fans of the show while offering a few sincere moments where fans were able to learn more about the actors that portrayed their favorite characters on television.

Dragon Con 2014 featured plenty of other big name actors and panels full of great movie stars. There were enough special panels, live music, autograph signings and photo opportunities to please fans of all different types of movies. We personally enjoyed having a chance to see some of our favorite actors in person, and it was nice to see how the famous actors were just as down to earth and hilarious as fans would like to think. Dragon Con 2014 was an event well worth traveling to for fans from all around the country, and we hope to see you at Dragon Con 2015!
