From the Press Release
Today we’re excited and proud to announce that Dreamfall Chapters, the highly anticipated adventure title from Red Thread Games, officially has its first release date. Book One of the Kickstarter-funded game will be distributed to project backers, and will be available to download on Steam for PC and Mac, and on Linux on Tuesday, October 21.

Dreamfall Chapters is a story-driven adventure game, the long-awaited episodic follow-up to the award-winning and bestselling adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. Dreamfall Chapters follows three characters on their journeys across two worlds — one a cyberpunk vision of the future, the other a magical fantasy world — as their stories and destinies intertwine. A tale about faith and hope and change, about the choices we make and the people we are destined to become, players will explore fantastic locations and mature themes through the eyes of familiar faces, determining the course of their journeys through their choices and actions, and living with the surprising and sometimes devastating consequences. The game’s innovative social system gives players the option to see what decisions their friends made, before they make and share their own.

Dreamfall Chapters – Book One encompasses the prologue and first two chapters of the game, with Books Two through Five scheduled for release in the future. The game is also scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 in early 2015.
