Ember Coming To The App Store This Fall

505 Games (U.S.) Inc., today, announced a development partnership with award-winning and seasoned game studio, N-Fusion Interactive, to publish an original title, Ember, an in-depth, exploration-based RPG game enchanted with ancient magic and filled with heroic adventure – on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

As the story goes, long ago when there was no sun and the world was black, the Embers fell from the heavens. These falling stars were like beacons in the pitch black world. An ancient race of druids, “the Lightbringers," traveled to these luminous objects. They performed a ritual of awakening and called the “Embers” out of their deep sleep. Suddenly the world became bright and the veil of darkness was lifted. The Embers were the embodiment of magical flame, light, and life, but as word spread about the sheer power of the Embers, they came to be hunted and captured… and so the war for Ember began.

“Ember is a passion project and a game idea we’ve been working on for more than 10 years. Through the collaboration with 505 Games we are finally able to bring this love letter to classic RPGs to life,” Jeff Birns, CEO and Creative Director, of N-Fusion Interactive. “We are eager to share Ember with the gaming community and hope they will appreciate it as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it over the years.”

Players are resurrected as a “Lightbringer” and summoned to protect the dying Embers as the world is on the brink of collapse. As the journey begins in the Deep Barrows, players traverse vast environments divided between aboveground and underground realms, ranging from lush forests to dry deserts and dark abysses, to reach the City of Light. Through the encounter of strangers, will the story start to unfold and players will be forced to decide their destiny.
