Exclusive Interview: Caroline Williams Talks The Seed 2: The New Breed

The Seed 2 from writer/director Marcel Walz is a horrifying new sequel to Seed that stars Nick Principe, Natalie Scheetz and Caroline Williams. We recently had the chance to chat with Caroline Williams, who plays The Mother in the new release, and here is what she had to say. Read on.

AMANDA DYAR: First off, thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions for us. I would like to know a little bit about yourself. How did you get into acting and what drew you to that career?

CAROLINE WILLIAMS: Started acting in 1983, taking classes at Chris Wilson Studio for Actors in Houston, Texas. Got my first job shortly thereafter. Got my first feature film, Alamo Bay (directed by Louis Malle) within 6 months.

AMANDA You have been in a lot of horror films like Hatchet III, Halloween II, Leprechaun 3, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and so forth. Is there anything in particular that you enjoy about horror movies over other genres?

CAROLINE: Horror genre is interesting, because they are action films. Lots of running, jumping, fighting, screaming, etc. Very physically demanding.

AMANDA: You recently starred in Contracted as the mom of Sam. The film was very interesting, and I really enjoyed it. What did you like most about working on that movie?

CAROLINE: I loved working on Contracted because of the short shooting sked (14 days) and the reputation of the young filmmaker, Eric England. He's from the state I was born in (Arkansas), and he made a terrific first impression with his film Madison County. I admired his talent.

AMANDA: In Blood Valley: Seed's Revenge you play The Mother--what can you tell us about the film and your character?

CAROLINE: Seed 2 is the sequel to Seed, a conceptual film my Uwe Boll, very different in tone than his usual action films. Playing the Mom (which is a very ambiguous character) affords an interesting jumping off point for Seed 3.

AMANDA: The role of Seed is played by the hunky Nick Principe. How was working with Nick and do you have any interesting stories from behind-the-scenes while filming?

CAROLINE: Seed 2 is the sequel to Seed, a conceptual film my Uwe Boll, very different in tone than his usual action films. Playing the Mom (which is a very ambiguous character) affords an interesting jumping off point for Seed 3.

The Seed 2
is set to release on October 7, 2014 on DVD and VOD.
