From the Press Release
Harmonix, the world leader in music gaming and one of the most successful independent game developers of all time, has entered into a partnership agreement with Tilting Point to develop and market mobile music games together. Harmonix has begun development on the first title to be produced under the partnership, which will be a music-influenced game designed for mobile platforms.

“We’ve known the guys at Tilting Point for years through EA Partners, and recently we began exploring ideas for games we’d like to work on together,” said Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Harmonix. “Tilting Point has been instrumental in helping us to hone those ideas and to identify the ones that fit best with the mobile market. We’ve known for a long time that we needed a partner to help us succeed on mobile, and Tilting Point simply has the best offering for developers, providing the tools, talent, and experience to turn our ideas into hit games.”

Harmonix will create and develop all of the games under the partnership. Tilting Point will contribute support and input across a number of key areas including product management, monetization, data analysis, research, UI/UX design, marketing, user acquisition, PR, and customer support, as well as live operations and funding.

“Harmonix has been a leader in music games for over a decade now and they are one of the most innovative game creators in this business. From Amplitude to Rock Band to Dance Central and Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, these guys have proven time and again their ability to create massive hits. There is a huge opportunity on mobile to create the next big hit in music games and Harmonix is ideally suited to take advantage of that opportunity,” said Tom Frisina, Executive Chairman of Tilting Point.

Harmonix is the latest developer to partner with Tilting Point, the leading partner for the world’s best independent developers. Previously Tilting Point released the 2014 Apple Design Award winning platformer Leo’s Fortune from developer 1337 & Senri and Toy Rush from developer Uber Entertainment on the App Store and Google Play. Their third title, The Sleeping Prince, from Signal Studios recently released on the App Store.
