OLED, or organic light-emitting diode technology, is one step ahead of LED lighting, providing long lasting, calming lighting that can be incorporated into almost any object, far beyond the scope of the traditional lamp or overhead light. Imagine reading by the light of your arm chair, or using the light emanating from your rug as mood lighting for your next dinner party.

OLEDs are already being used in television and mobile displays, but for the average consumer, spending more than $11,000 on an OLED TV is not realistic.
