External hard drives mean you don't have to keep searching for things to delete. But the dangle-by-a-cable design means damaging breaks, disconnections and clutter.
The Hitchhiker sticks to any laptop, desktop computer, or Xbox, and the Slide-N-Secure plate means you can slip on the hard drive when you want it attached, and slip it off whenever you don't.

"This idea came to us during a trip through Bolivia," said William Densmore, co-founder of Hitchhiker's Deenosaur. "Walter Boda and I had such a great time, but our external hard drives were an absolute nightmare. They'd slide off of airplane trays and disconnect, or they'd get banged around in our bags and get damaged. It was such a hassle, but we needed the extra storage for our pictures and music."
Hitchhiker gives that much-needed extra storage, while keeping slim hard drives safe and out of the way.
The Kickstarter is a week in, and the Hitchhiker can be purchased simply as the housing for $39 (use your own hard drive) or it can be purchased with a 1 TB USB 3.0 hard drive for $79 for Early Birds.
Hitchhikers will be delivered April 2015.
