Metal Hurlant Chronicles: Season 2 Original Soundtrack Now Available For Digital Download

Sumthing Else Music Works has announced that the original soundtrack for Metal Hurlant Chronicles: Season 2 is now available for digital download. Read on.

Sumthing Else Music Works release the original soundtrack from Season 2 of METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES, the live-action sci-fi television series based on the popular comics anthology 'Métal Hurlant,' also known internationally as 'Heavy Metal' magazine. Available for digital download worldwide, including iTunes, Amazon and Sumthing.com, the METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES Season 2 soundtrack features 40 tracks composed by BAFTA award-winning and Billboard/MTV VMA nominated composer Jesper Kyd (Assassin's Creed, Borderlands, Hitman). Preview samples are available on Soundcloud.

In the lineage of cult series such as The Twillight Zone, The Outer Limits, and Tales From The Crypt, METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES is the science fiction live-action adaptation of stories from the eponymous world-renowned magazine that gave birth in the United States to Heavy Metal. From 1960s cold war drama to distant future, fantasy to medieval, METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES spans a wide range of self-contained stories linked together by an asteroid, called the 'Métal Hurlant', which passes close to the planet where each episode's story is taking place, thereby changing the outcome.

METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES stars Michael Biehn (Aliens, The Terminator), John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings, The Raiders of the Lost Ark), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), James Marsters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis), Michael Jai White (Spawn), Darren Shahlavi (Arrow), Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum), and Kelly Brook (Smallville). Season 2 recently debuted in the US on Syfy and is currently showing across 80 countries worldwide.

Danish composer Jesper Kyd started writing music for visual media in the European 'demoscene'. At 19 he became part owner of a video game company which later evolved into IOI, the studio behind the Hitman series and Freedom Fighters. Renowned for creating unique scores with a diverse array of live instrumentation and manipulated sounds, Kyd's immersive soundtracks feature a mix of styles ranging from the iconic orchestral/electronic hybrid scores for the Hitman series (British Academy Award for Original Music) and anthemic choral score for Freedom Fighters (GameSpot Best Original Music), to his four evocative, brand-defining scores for Ubisoft's history-inspired Assassin's Creed series (ACII voted most popular theme music) and the post-apocalyptic/sci-fi themes of the Borderlands series. Kyd also composed the 'faded Americana' acoustic score for Undead Labs' State of Decay, the fastest selling original game on Xbox Live Arcade, and the surreal fantasy score for the action-adventure Darksiders II, created by comic book writer/artist Joe Madureira. His recent projects include the '80s electronic sci-fi score for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. For more information on Jesper Kyd visit www.jesperkyd.com.

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups. The fair's massive Ferris Wheel towered high in the sky and helped light up the event, while the Moby Dick ride and Gravitron also looked fearsome and stood tall even from a distance. Plenty of ...
