Ozobot (Gadget Review)

Ozobot is a new invention from the Evollve electronics company based in California. The smart little robot is capable of independent movement and can recognize the design and color of lines on paper. The applications are nearly limitless for Ozobot, and users only need to think up a fun game or way to play with the gadget to get their money's worth out of the device. Ozobot makes a fun toy for young electronics fans, and free apps just add additional value to the device.

Users can interact with Ozobot in a number of ways. Classic paper and markers can be used to draw lines for Ozobot to follow, and the robot will light up as it crosses different colored lines. Owners can also use the robot with board games or mobile devices to see all of the different ways Ozobot can interact with older games to get new use out of products that had become obsolete. Free apps available on the App Store and Google Play add even more ways to play with Ozobot including pre-designed game and tools to create custom games using Ozobot.

Ozobot is easy to charge and use. The device via USB connection to a number of different devices to power up. Ozobot turns from red to green when the device is charged and ready for use. Once Ozobot is fully charged, owners will use a button on the side of the robot to turn on the gadget. Ozobot does need to be calibrated before being used, but calibration is as simple as holding the power button and placing the device on a black dot on a card included in the package. Using Ozobot couldn't be simpler, and the ease at which any user can approach and use the device is part of the gadget's charm.

The uses owners can get out of Ozobot is only limited to their imagination. The device can be used as a toy, learning device or even as a fun, light up decoration. Young electronic fans may have some trouble having fun with Ozobot without a little guided adult supervision, but most owners will find several fun ways to use the robot for their entertainment. Ozobot is easy to pick up and use no matter what an owner's experience level is with electronics. Look for Ozobot from Evollve this holiday season.
