Terra Battle Surpasses 500,000 Downloads For Mobile Devices

Mistwalker Corporation has announced that Terra Battle has surpassed over 500,000 downloads in the first week of its debut on iOS and Android devices. Gamers have unlocked various content in the game with the amount of downloads that has included new music and characters. Read on.

Mistwalker Corporation today announced that its recently released mobile role-playing game, Terra Battle, has already surpassed 500,000 downloads just one week after its debut on iOS and Android devices.

Through its Download Starter Campaign, players can expect to see newly designed characters in the game -- all designed by famous Japanese illustrators in the video game and manga fields. With each milestone reached, players will continue to unlock bonus content, including original characters, game modes, and other significant updates for Terra Battle.

 To date, Terra Battle fans have already unlocked the following content for the game:

  • 100,000 Downloads - New music from Nobou Uematsu (legendary composer of FINAL FANTASY titles)
  • 200,000 Downloads - New characters from Hideo Minaba (art director of FF9 and FF12, art supervisor for Final Fantasy Tactics)
  • 300,000 Downloads - New characters from Nakaba Suzuki (manga artist and writer for The Seven Deadly Sins and Rising Impact)
  • 400,000 Downloads - New characters from Hitoshi Yoneda (Cover illustrator for Phantasy Star, Phantasy Star II and Phantasy Star IV)
  • 500,000 Downloads - New characters from Manabu Kusunoki (Original Character & Dragon Model Designer for Panzer Dragoon, and Original Designer of Panzer Dragoon Zwei, concept artist for Blue Dragon and design works for The Last Story)

Players can anticipate even more content through the continued success of the Download Starter Campaign, including new characters from Kimihiko Fujisaka (Character Designer of The Last Story) and Naoto Oshima (Character Designer of Sonic The Hedgehog) at 600,000 / 700,000 downloads, development of a co-op battle mode at 700,000 downloads and production of a Terra Battle Strategy Guide at 800,000 downloads.

 "We didn't anticipate Terra Battle eclipsing the 500,000 mark this quickly, so that's a testament to the passion of our players," said Hironobu Sakaguchi, founder of Mistwalker. "We're activating the initial five rewards from legendary artists and we'll continue to leave it in players' hands to determine what Download Starter Campaign rewards are on the horizon."

 Developed by legendary FINAL FANTASY creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Terra Battle is a tactical role-playing game with fast strategic battles, collectible heroes and an extensive story. As part of the game's launch - through Nov. 3 - new players who download the game will acquire Kuscah, a powerful healer that will give players a jump-start in their journey to reach the Maker.
