Little Orbit has released Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom for Steam, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360 and PS3. The game features great voice-overs from Jeremy Shada (Finn) and John DiMaggio (Jake) with our adventurers taking off across a mysterious unexplored region in the Land of Ooo. Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is a modern-day, Zelda-like adventure that is perfect for young gamers to enjoy that is full of hidden secrets with new characters and creatures. Read on.
After battling a few monsters and solving some simple puzzles under the castle of the Nameless Kingdom players come across Pillowmint Butler who explains the situation at hand. The Kingdom was created by three kind and benevolent sisters: Lullaby Princess, Slumber Princess, and Nightmare Princess. The coronation ceremony to choose a leader to guide the kingdom starts tomorrow but all three princesses have disappeared. It is up to Finn and Jake to find the princesses for one of them to rule the Nameless Kingdom. However, the entire kingdom has been overrun by monsters, and our duo must battle through the horrors ahead in order to locate the lost princesses at the three temples. Now that everything has been explained it is time for gamers to get ready for a top-down Adventure Time!
Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom doesn't feature the most complex gameplay with its top-down mechanics and is very similar to the classic days of gaming when simple visuals and sound sufficed with games like Zelda. Players will slice monsters with their grass sword while solving puzzles by pulling up bushes to reveal hidden pathways or levers. If you need any items for your adventure just head over to see Choose Goose who makes some fun rhymes about the objects for purchase.
Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom features some brightly colorful visuals and a fun soundtrack to make the gameplay even more fun while you fight zany monsters to rescue the missing princesses. Player's lives are shown in the upper left-hand side of the screen in the shape of hearts and if you lose them all then you will be forced to restart from your last saved checkpoint. As you venture across the Nameless Kingdom, you will come across a wide variety of characters, like Starchy and Key-per, alongside the ability to gather treasure to spend on items and other small mini-quests. The loading screens throughout the Nameless Kingdom can be a little long and gameplay can seem a bit repetitive, however, Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom has been designed with young fans of the series in mind instead of gamers who typically may enjoy Call of Duty. Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom offers up a fun gameplay experience that may not be for everyone but younger gamers ages 7-12 will likely really enjoy it. Fans of the Adventure Time TV series will recognize many of their favorite characters alongside the addition of a few new faces and the great voice-acting they are used to from the show. Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom lets fans experiences a virtual experience within the Land of Ooo while enjoying the game's quirky writing and humor.
Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is now available from all major retailers and can be purchased for $39.99 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and $29.99 on Nintendo 3DS. Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is rated E by the ESRB for Animated Blood, Cartoon Violence & Comic Mischief.
