Munch Time 2 Gets 2015 Release Date

Gamistry has announced Munch Time 2 set to release in early 2015 for consoles, PC and mobile devices. Read on.

The game combines metroidvania like elements with old-school platform gaming. Munch Time 2 is a love-letter to games like Donkey Kong Country which we combine with RPG elements. Our challenge is to create a seemless real-time action 2D platform experience that works just as well on mobile as it does on console and pc. The game revolves around the silly and acrobatically gifted chameleon Munch. This time he's finding himself stranded on a island full of friendly NPCs, temples to explore and dozens of ominous critters and monsters. Wander through this mysterious world and upgrade your skills as you progress and track back to keep discovering secret areas. Make the most of his abilities: latching onto various flowers to swing through 2D platforming environments and changing color to solve puzzles using these flowers. He also gains a wide range of new skills to help his new-found friends, a funny tribe of living plants called Leaflets. Fight your enemies by lunging towards them with your tongue, dashing over land or through the air, and bodyslam yourself into the fray.

Features:

  • Dynamic combat with enemies and boss-fights
  • Open world exploration in a diverse 2D platformer/metroidvania like style
  • Leveling system with upgradable skills
  • Intriguing puzzles integrated in a vast world.
  • Solid platformer controls tweaked to perfection for mobile and console compatibility
