Fat Chicken boots up to a refined slaughterhouse that is well underway as smoke feels the air around it. The menu options for Fat Chicken includes Play, Achievements, Stats, Credits and Settings. Nothing drives a game more than that of achievements and stats and Fat Chicken is no different. Players will try to get their best scores while destroying UFOs, running off protestors all the while keeping a close eye on your lifetime murderbux.
Gamers are welcomed to Fat Chicken by the character Ms. Melendez who is the HR Manager of Fat Chicken Meat Company, Toilet Cleaner and Chicken Feeder. The game starts out on a small farm in Modesto, California were you will learn the basics of the operation on your first shift. In order to unlock the second shift of this level, gamers will be required to fully complete the first shift with the ability to earn up to three stars. Of course, you will be able to choose your very own Farm Hero during gameplay which includes the likes of a Mad Scientist, Love Guru, HR Whip-Cracker, Doctor Doogie, Captain Bulk, and so forth. Every hero has their own unique set of abilities and downfalls which requires a certain degree of strategy when utilizing them during your shifts.
Fat Chicken is a title that not only contains a humorous storyline and characters but a fun soundtrack and colorful visuals to boot. The crew of Fat Chicken Meat Company have hired you to not only work hard, but to raise their profits while figuring out creative ways to get the animals to the Slaughterhouse to meet the Meat Quota for each shift. With a mere $85, your first goal is to place your towers and successfully get the animals to the slaughterhouse. In Fat Chicken, there are a ton of variables to take into consideration when planning out the perfect strategy to complete your goals. For example, animals can get fat, skinny or starve to death. Of course, it is your job to get them as fat as possible in order to maximize meat with each animal to gain Murderbux to build more towers with.
The point of towers in Fat Chicken is to get the animals to do what you need them to in order to achieve your goals which includes the Growth Hormone Tower, Corn Feed Tower and more. The placement of your towers is very crucial to your success during gameplay and the ability to meet your desired goals. The basics for keeping your chickens alive once they leave the chicken coop include the basics of feeding, watering and pumping them full of growth hormones while they make their way to the slaughterhouse. The simple and fun animations used throughout Fat Chicken will continuously keep you updated on your livestock's progress and adds a ton of fun to the overall gameplay.
Fat Chicken is all about strategy and using everything you can in the game to your advantage. For example, when players travel through prairie land or across water they are able to eat and drink for free, which really plays into your placement of Corn Feed and Water Towers. It is taking advantage of aspects like these in Fat Chicken that will help you succeed in earning the most Murderbux and having the plumpest chickens. There are several waves that players must survive in order to get to the next level. As you progress through the game, there will be better upgrades and abilities available to use which keeps everything fresh and entertaining.
Fat Chicken starts out easy enough with the player's only worry being to feed and water them while pumping them full of growth hormone. However, as players progress, other challenges will pop up that include protestors, resistance to antibiotics, dehydration and even aliens! Your livestock are always in danger no matter how safe you may think they are. While controls in Fat Chicken can seem a little wonky, players will get the hang of gameplay in no time with its addictive mechanics and fun visuals.
In the end, Fat Chicken is a great game that offers up entertaining gameplay with that of an amazing soundtrack and beautiful, cartoony-like visuals. Fat Chicken features a huge campaign that allows players to work at over 13 different places across the U.S. in 26 action-packed levels. The humor and storyline are over-the-top outrageous but that is what makes Fat Chicken so amazingly fun and addictive. While the game does suffer a bit from wonky controls and camera angles--altogether it managed to be a delightfully cute adventure!
