Chariot Review for Nintendo Wii U

Chariot previously released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC from Frima Studio. The platformer has now made its way to Nintendo Wii U with brand new controls while keeping the action-packed fun that gamers enjoyed the first time around. Chariot is a challenging physics-based platformer that allows players to team up with a friend to complete exciting objectives. Are you ready to start your new adventure on Nintendo Wii U? Read on.

Chariot tests players skills in maneuvering a funeral wagon through complex and tricky levels to aid the princess in burying her father, The King. In the first attempt to lay the King to rest, gamers are faced with an unforeseen predicament, which forces them to travel around looking for jewels and wealth to bury him in true luxury. The King's ghost will accompany you on your journey in order to make sure that everything is just right for his royal burial.

The gameplay mechanics in Chariot are solid but can get rather frustrating as you try to make your way around various obstacles with your trusty chariot in tow. The colors and animations in the game are bright and beautiful to give gamers a fun presentation on the Nintendo Wii U. The gamepad for the Wii U allows for more control while keeping the adventure fresh and entertaining. The challenges in Chariot are varied with not only the obstacles, puzzles and physic-based mechanics, but also the intense cooperation skills you must display with your teammate. The princess works hand-in-hand with her fiancé to take on the many challenges faced throughout Chariot while trying to put the Majesty to rest.

The adventures throughout Chariot will have players coming up with creative solutions while utilizing intense strategic plans for achieving their goals. Chariot is slightly more enjoyable on Nintendo Wii U due to the ability to use the gamepad in addition to what appears on your TV to take on all of the exciting trials that remain ahead.

In the end, Chariot offers up an pleasant experience on Nintendo Wii U with its fun gameplay and cartoony graphics and sound effects. While there are still moments of infuriation with some of the complex puzzles--this doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the title. Alternatively, the co-op multiplayer portion is really what makes the game unique and creates the most fun for this couch platformer.

Chariot is now available for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One & Nintendo Wii U and can be purchased for $14.99. Chariot is rated E by the ESRB for Mild Fantasy Violence. For more information on the game, check out the official Chariot website.
