Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is an upcoming public funded game from developer Fictiorama Studios and publisher Daedalic Entertainment. The game takes players to a dark and dreary dystopian future where time has stopped and the human race is literally dissolving away to nothing. Players will take on the role of a survivor named Michael, who must overcome his fears of this dangerous and frightening world while searching for a way to prevent the end of the world and save the human race from a terrible fate. The game features mechanics popularized by the point and click adventure genre and includes a progressive storyline with plenty of dialogue choices to keep players on their toes.
A demo for Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is currently available that allows fans to try out the game in an early development build. Though the game lacks any voice acting in its current form, it's clear the title will still include a powerful narrative that will evoke all sorts of emotions from gamers along the journey. There are good and bad people in this vision of the future, though most are bad. Michael begins the demo in a refugee camp that is home to some of the saddest and most hopeless characters players are likely to find even in the full version of the game, while military personal whose hearts seem to be made of stone run the camp and will infuriate players with their actions.
Gameplay in Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is similar to what players would find in a Telltale Games title, though the upcoming release features 2D settings and larger inventories for items. Players will interact with other characters in the environments while searching for key items and using items to solve puzzles and progress through the game. Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today gives players more freedom to move through the game at their own pace with many puzzles and sections of the game opened up from early on in the campaign.
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is currently in early development, and as such, the game does have bugs that take away from the experience. Crashes, frame rate drops and pop-ins were all present in the demo, and some of the game's menus and features seemed bare boned, though it's no guarantee that any of these problems will be fixed by launch. Still, Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today was a very enjoyable experience that should help gamers feel rewarded and a bit more confident for backing the game on Kickstarter when it was first announced by Fictiorama Studios. Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is scheduled to release in April, but fans interested in the game can check out the game's demo today!
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is scheduled to release exclusively on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux on April 10, 2015. For more information on the game, check out the official Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today website.
