MAKING IT UNREAL: INTO THE STARS
This week, Marc Janas from Fugitive Games shared his experience working with UE4 for the Kickstarter-funded Into The Stars. The team has completed their Kickstarter campaign, surpassing their pledged $85k goal, earning more than $100k! In his guest blog post, he discusses the ease of designing a game in UE4, highlighting the engine’s wide array of tools for designers, therefore eliminating the need for an engineer! MARTIANCRAFT VISITS EPIC + OTHER TWITCH HAPPENINGS
On this week’s Twitch livestream, Jeff LaMarche and Thomas Ingham from mobile developer MartianCraft join Community Manager Chance Ivey to discuss their upcoming iOS UE4 title, Republic Sniper. There are also a few surprises in store, so be sure to tune in!

EPIC JOINS VALVE TO UNVEIL NEW GRAPHICS API AT GDC
Senior Engine Programmer Niklas Smedberg will be joining Valve at GDC for a special unveiling of Khronos’ glNext initiative, the upcoming cross-platform graphics API designed for modern programming techniques and processors. The developers will present a technical breakdown of the API, advanced techniques and live demos of real-world applications running on glNext drivers and hardware.
