Nintendo and developer HAL Laboratory have announced the release of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for Nintendo Wii U. The new release is a fun follow-up to Kirby: Canvas Curse which released in 2005 on the Nintendo DS.
If you played the release in 2005 then you will be somewhat familiar with the gameplay in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Ready to start a new adventure with Kirby? Read on!
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse has a very unique visual style that resembles virtual modeling clay with the ability to create your own adventure. Players assume the role of a round ball, Kirby, and utilize multi-colored lines to make their way across levels by using the Wii U touchpad. Gameplay in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is very addictive and entertaining which keeps players coming back for more!
The learning curve for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is very small and will have gamers trying out Kirby's various forms to enhance their gameplay experience while amping up the replayability factor. Kirby can transform into many things in order to make his way through varied and diverse environments. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is best played with friends (up to three), who can take on the role as Waddle Dees, to basically carry you through the game which helps during some of the time-consuming stages! Yes, your friends can literally pick up Kirby and help him through stages...
The main story for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse involves a giant hole that forms in the sky sucking all of the color out of the beautifully vivid Dream Land. After this happens, gamers are tested with stopping Claycia and restoring color to Dream Land. But don't fret, you have some help along the way thanks to the paintbrush fairy (Elline) and Waddle Dee. The boss stages in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse can seem rather monotonous and boring since they are basically the same thing used repeatedly. In the end, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is a good game well-worth the purchase. However, gamers will still have a great time despite the tiresomely long stages and yawn-worthy bosses.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is now available exclusively for Nintendo Wii U and can be purchased for $39.99. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is rated E by the ESRB. For more information on the game, check out the official Kirby and the Rainbow Curse website.
