Smite Adds New Playable God Bellona With Battle Frost Patch

Hi-Rez Studios has announced the release of a new major content update for Smite with the Battle Frost patch with the new playable God Bellona.

From the Press Release
Hi-Rez Studios today released the latest major content update for its action MOBA game, SMITE. Leading the charge in the “Battle Frost” patch is SMITE’s newest playable God – Bellona – the Roman goddess of war. Clad in fine imperial armor, Bellona is a well-rounded, frontline warrior who rallies those worthy of her blessing. Hi-Rez Studios designed this all-in soldier to fit the role of a “counter-carry,” making her a strong choice in hand-to-hand combat due to her arsenal of weaponry and the personal blocking power of her shield. Moreover, Bellona introduces a new type of crowd control to SMITE – disarms – which temporarily prevent enemy Gods from using basic attacks.

In addition, “Battle Frost” updates the character model for Ymir, the father of the frost giants, across his Standard, TwitchYmir, Nuclear Winter, Golden, Diamond and Legendary skins. It debuts new God skins for Bellona, Hercules, Scylla and Awilix, as well as new voice packs for Bellona, Hercules and Scylla. The patch also includes a variety of fixes, improvements and minor balance changes.

Season 2 of SMITE is currently underway on PC. To sign up for SMITE’s upcoming closed beta on Xbox One, please visit www.SmiteGame.com/Xbox. For more information, please visit www.SmiteGame.com, and follow along at www.facebook.com/SmiteGame and www.twitter.com/SmiteGame.
