Dragon Ball XenoVerse (Video Game Review)

Bandai Namco Games has announced the release of their new title Dragon Ball XenoVerse for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. The recent release marks the first Dragon Ball game to appear on next-gen consoles while featuring an all new story.

Dragon Ball XenoVerse
allows players to create their own custom character and make their way through vivid environments full of destructible objects. There is plenty of things to love in the new game (which includes the addition of funmazing new mechanics) with the MMO brawler gameplay being like no other Dragon Ball title.

Most Dragon Ball fans were molded from a young age which started with the cartoon series and earlier games later evolving into a love-obsessed addiction! The first thing that Dragon Ball XenoVerse does differently this time around is the ability to create your very own character full of great options like the ability to choose from three different races.

After completing your awesome character then you will step into the past with Trunks to correct some key moments in history. The best part of Dragon Ball XenoVerse is the ability to free roam like an RPG game with the basics of a true fighting game. You basically have the best of ALL worlds in Dragon Ball XenoVerse with its beautiful visuals and animations to boot!

Time traveling in Dragon Ball XenoVerse offers up a unique story with well-written dialogue but does in fact assume that most players have already played the series. This means that while you may get some tad bits of information from cut-scenes--overall you need to have played the previous games to properly understand the story.

Once the ball gets rolling in Dragon Ball XenoVerse then you will be tossed into Toki-Toki City to interact with NPCs, shop or try out a slew of new modes. It is here where you can team up with other players or challenge them to battles adding a high degree of replayability to XenoVerse. We did experience some server issues during the first few days of the game's release with being unable to connect to matches, however, these are slowly being ironed out for overall better gameplay.

In the end, Dragon Ball XenoVerse is a fun game that offers up a new story, environments and mechanics to explore alongside the epic new character creation. If you are a die-hard Dragon Ball fan then you will want to check out Dragon Ball XenoVerse!

Dragon Ball XenoVerse is now available from all major retailers for $49.99 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) and $59.99 (Xbox One, PS4) respectively and can be purchased for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
