Smite Closed-Beta for Xbox One

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that SMITE is now in closed beta for the Xbox One. SMITE will release later this year and players who have participated in the alpha phase or closed beta will be able to test out a ton of updates, features, content and Xbox One exclusives for the game specifically designed for consoles.

The game for console starts out pretty much like the game does on PC. You start out playing as Neith in a short-tutorial that gives you an oversight of the exciting gameplay to come. The SMITE in-game marketplace is now accessible on the Xbox One where players can purchase in-game currency called Gems to unlock new Gods, cosmetic skins and much more.

Purchasing the Founder’s Pack for SMITE will allow players to have instant access to the closed beta for $29.99 and contains over $50 worth of content. The bundle gives gamers a ton of content which includes all 63 Gods (with more to come), 400 Gems, and two exclusive skins.

The skins in the Founder's Pack includes Ares “Soldier of War” and the Limited Ymir “Cacodemon X” skin with the bundle only being available for a very limited time and no longer available once the game launches on Xbox One. Worried about your content transferring over? Well don't be because all purchases, progress and achievements you obtain in the closed beta will automatically transfer to the fully launch version.

SMITE is the first MOBA to make its way to Xbox One and includes all of the great content that you love from the PC version. Hi-Rez is giving players a one time merge option to transfer some of their progress and items from their PC to their Xbox One to receive a special Zeus skin for linking these accounts. The action-packed title allows players to play across several different types of game modes that includes practice rounds, co-op modes and the epic battle arena. Gameplay in SMITE is vast and varied and allows each player to choose a different type of God to represent their specific play style.

SMITE looks and plays fantastic on the Xbox One and we can't wait to see how the game progresses over the year to the fully launched version. If you love the various combat styles, engaging camera views, and strategic teamwork of the PC version then you will love the game on Xbox One. The controls are fluid and responsive with impressively crisp visuals go hand-in-hand with the title's intriguing gameplay.
