SMITE Enters Open Beta Testing For Xbox One This July 8

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that SMITE will enter open beta testing on Xbox One on July 8th.

From the Press Release
Hi-Rez Studios today announced that its free-to-play action MOBA game, SMITE, the online Battleground of the Gods, will enter open beta testing on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. All Xbox One users will be able to download and play SMITE for free directly through the Xbox Games Store or by visiting www.SmiteGame.com/Xbox during this newest phase of development. Open beta will lead up to the official launch of SMITE for Xbox One later this year.

As SMITE’s open beta commences, closed beta players can expect a seamless transition without data wipes of presently earned Gods, currency, achievements, and more. Xbox One owners who wish to join SMITE’s currently ongoing closed beta can still do so by signing up at www.SmiteGame.com/Xbox, or by purchasing the SMITE Founder’s Pack, available now for $29.99 on the Xbox Games Store. The Founder’s Pack confers immediate beta access, ownership of every existing and future God in the game, 400 Gems, and two exclusive God skins in one incredible bundle.

SMITE players who wish to carry over select progress and purchased items from their PC accounts to Xbox One will be able to do so with a one-time Account Merge option. For more details on this process, check out SMITE’s Xbox One Account Merge FAQ.

As the first MOBA available on Microsoft’s powerhouse console, SMITE for Xbox One delivers the same thrilling blend of fast-paced gameplay and strategic action that has made the title one of the leading eSports franchises in the world. Its ever-growing pantheon of characters features over 60 playable Gods, each a unique force to be reckoned with in the arena with an arsenal of mighty powers and combat specializations. SMITE’s third-person camera pulls players directly into the heat of battle across a wide variety of solo, competitive and cooperative game modes.
