Activision has now made the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer Beta for the PS4 available to everyone. The new entry in the series provides gamers with a ton of fun through the addition of nine Specialist classes which all come with a special ability and weapon. The classes offer a unique spin to the series and there are up to four available for level 1 multiplayer.
Specialists all come with a unique Callsign and unlock tokens have to be used in order to gain their special ability or weapon before they can be chosen. Some of the known Specialists includes Ruin, Battery, Reaper, Outrider, Seraph, Spectre, Prophet and Nomad.
In order for the new title to stand out it needed something that the series had yet to do and the Specialist classes is exactly what Call of Duty: Black Ops III needed. Before each round, players must choose one Specialist and stay with that character choice until the end of each match. However, this is totally separate from your chosen loadout and scorestreaks, which can still be utilized as they have been in previous Call of Duty titles. The Specialist classes require you to charge up your ability over time and unleash its power at the right moment during gameplay. Frankly, it adds an extra level of immersion to the game that has never been seen while offering up a new playstyle to keep you coming back for more.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III has managed to take the series in an entirely new direction with the addition of the Specialist classes, and it may be the most innovative thing that the series has ever done. Gamers now care less about how many score streaks they have and instead focus on more creative methods to use their abilities. The Specialist class forces players to actually care about their character which changes the entire way you play the multiplayer portion of the game.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops III players get an extra layer of customization with the Specialist classes, Pick 10 system, and Scorestreaks. Treyarch has also managed to up the competitive aspects of the game with grenade launchers, exploding arrows, jetpacks, and wall running. All-in-all, the Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta shows that the new title will be more immersive, action-packed and better than ever before.
