OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood starts up with a screen that welcomes gamers to the Skatepark. It is here that players are given the option to learn the basics before running loose in Olliwood. A big part of skating in Olliwood involves learning how to properly learn the art of "pushing" in order to increase your speed and do awesome tricks. The controls in
OlliOlli2 are fairly simple and easy to learn so getting down the basic tricks, grinding and perfect landing takes no time at all.
OlliOlli2 features five new worlds, 50 new amateur and pro levels alongside 250 challenges to keep you entertained for hours on end. Gamers will also notice that the bag of tricks has been expanded with 540 Shove-its, Anti-Casper Flips and Darkslides. If your new to OlliOlli, don't fret, because starting out at the Amateur level will help you get on your feet and master your skateboarding tricks before heading into the Pro arena.
Your first challenge in
OlliOlli 2 will have you completing certain challenges like getting a score of 20,000 points or landing two backflips. The visuals in
OlliOlli 2 are very simplistic and colorful and the upbeat soundtrack really sets the mood for each level of skateboarding madness. As you progress through the game, you will be given a score based on the combos and challenges you complete as you skateboard to the end to unlock the next level.
OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood allows you to practice scoring a perfect grind while avoiding dangerous obstacles that can literally obliterate your skater. Players will advance through levels and be allowed to collect items, land perfect combos and max out their high score which really adds a great deal of replayability to the title. However, if you happen to sloppily land your best trick, then losing some of your hard earned points will be the end result. One of the things we noticed in
OlliOlli2 was its punishing difficulty levels which can be tough to chew for newer players who don't have the controls locked down just yet.
