Gamerz In Arms Announces Live Charity Stream To Benefit Hire Heroes USA

Gamerz In Arms has announced their weekend-long live charity stream starting February 27th.

From the Press Release
Premier gaming community Gamerz In Arms - an organization united through their support for active duty, reserve, and veteran military gamers and their families - is excited to announce today a weekend-long live charity stream from 2 PM CST on February 27th to 11:59 PM CST on February 28th, 2016, to benefit the award-winning veteran employment nonprofit, Hire Heroes USA.

Hot off the heels of their “War Dogs Making It Home” fundraiser where they raised funds for veterans suffering from PTSD and other service-related disorders, the Gamerz In Arms community will once again come together to host a charitable fundraiser on Twitch.tv, benefitting a deserving nonprofit that supports veterans and their families. For over thirty-hours, the brothers and sisters of Gamerz In Arms will stream such popular titles as League of Legends, Just Cause 3, Castle Crashers, World of Warcraft, and more to raise both funds and awareness for Hire Heroes USA, a nonprofit that empowers U.S. military members, veterans and their spouses to thrive in the civilian workforce.

“As a veteran, it brings me a lot of pride to help other veterans because I know the struggles we face when we get back home,” said Casey Clark, U.S. Army veteran and Co-Founder of Gamerz In Arms. “When many veterans return home, they’re just pushed back into society without the full support needed to adjust. Gamerz In Arms helped me through the toughest time in my life by introducing me to a supportive social group, and Hire Heroes USA helps people like myself develop skills to find employment after a military career. It’s a great cause, and I’m thrilled to be able to support those in need!”

"We’re excited that Gamerz In Arms has chosen to support our mission with this fundraiser,” said Brian Stann, U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and CEO of Hire Heroes USA. "There’s a significant overlap between the veteran and gamer communities, and their unique approach to raising awareness opens the door for us to assist more transitioning veterans and military spouses into civilian careers."

Over the course of the event, Gamerz In Arms will hold multiple sweepstakes and raffles with awesome prizes courtesy of gaming’s biggest brands! Prizes include NVIDIA GTX 900-series graphics cards, Gaems Vanguard, the Elgato HD60, twenty copies of Rainbow Six Siege, various swag bags, and more.

Viewers can tune in to the Gamerz In Arms Hire Heroes USA charity stream at twitch.tv/gamerzinarmstv from 2 PM CST on February 27th to 11:59 PM CST on February 28th, 2016.
