Sega's Make War Not Love 3 Community Event Commences On February 14

Sega has announced that the Make War Not Love 3 community event will start on February 14th where the Total War community will lock horns with that of the Company of Heroes 2 community.

From the Press Release
SEGA Europe Ltd have today announced that Make War Not Love 3, the third annual Relic vs Creative Assembly community event, will commence on February 14th at 6pm GMT/10am PST/7pm CET and run until 6pm GMT/10am PST/7pm CET, February 20th. Company of Heroes™ 2 has come out victorious against Total War™ in the previous two years and the RTS behemoths will lock horns again as the Company of Heroes 2 community takes on the Total War™: ATTILA community. This year however, a new challenger is entering the fray! The Warhammer 40,000®: Dawn of War II™ community will bring their multiplayer skills to the contest, thus completing the bill for the ultimate RTS triple threat match up and the bloodiest Make War Not Love line-up yet.

All you need to do to take part is play your chosen game as much as possible during the contest. To give new players an incentive to join the action, Total War: ATTILA, Company of Heroes 2 and Dawn of War II will all be available to buy at 75% off for the duration of the contest and will be available to play for free from Thursday, 18th February until Saturday, 20th Feb 9pm GMT/1pm PST/8pm CET.

Points, or in this case percentages, mean prizes and all matches/skirmishes completed in each game will be tallied up and then weighted using a formula that would make even Alan Turing’s head spin. Every 48 hours throughout the contest, the community in the lead will unlock a selection of games from SEGA’s back catalogue to download for free, in addition to some bumper discounts for other SEGA titles.

The winning community at the end of the contest will unlock a piece of content specific to their game to download for free. If Company of Heroes 2 win, it will be Company of Heroes 2 – The British Forces, if Dawn of War II wins, it will be the Tau Commander for Dawn of War II: Retribution and if Total War: ATTILA wins, an as yet unannounced, brand new piece of DLC will unlock. These prizes will be available to download once the contest has concluded. In total, SEGA are giving away more content than ever before with over £60 worth of free content and a whole host of huge discounts.

The website launches today at www.makewarnotlove.com where all the terms and conditions surrounding the competition and pre-match trash talking can be found! Once the competition starts it will be your go-to-place to find out who’s winning and to claim the spoils of war. Get involved with goading the opposition on Twitter by tweeting @totalwar, @companyheroes and @dawnofwar with the hashtag ‘#mwnl’. The community managers of the respective games are already at it…

“They say war is hell. It is when you’re bad at it. Now we’re not ones to point fingers, but it looks to us like Relic are playing the numbers game this year, fielding two teams against our one.” said Craig Laycock, Lead Community Manager for Total War. “I can’t remember what they’re called. Company of War and Dawn of Heroes or something…it’s not important. What’s important is that our community take arms and slowly crush their souls into a fine pulp during this proud competition. That’s what’s important.”

“Who are these amateurs? They are all but heretics who don’t know their place. They shouldn’t fool themselves. We have been fighting for thousands of years, war is all we are, killing is all we are good for! If they feel they have even the slightest chance, it is a delusion.” said Kellie Goggins, Dawn of War Community Manager, “We will crush their hopes, their dreams and claim this as an easy victory for the Emperor.”

“Total War? More like Total Disaster. Last I checked they were 0 – 2 down. Seriously though, all this pwning of Total War and I am still ‘Hun-gry’ for more. Can’t wait to crush their cavalry on their puny donkeys or whatever they ride with our mobile artillery.” said Kyle Fehr, Community Manager, Company of Heroes, “As for these Dawn of War newbs joining the party, they might as well go back to bed and watch some real soldiers show them how to fight. It’s going to take more than some green pirates to slow down our war machine.”

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
