Ronimo Games has launched the second expansion for Awesomenauts entitled Awesomenauts: Overdrive. The new expansion adds three new characters, updated visuals and overhauled matchmaking. Read on to learn more.
Awesomenauts is a game that features intergalactic mercenaries who are always doing incredibly awesome things. Overdrive is the second expansion for the game following the Kickstarter hit Starstorm.
The new characters in Awesomenauts: Overdrive is the time-traveling Professor M. Yoolip, the hyperbike-riding bounty hunter Chucho Krokk and Jimmy and the LUX5000. The three new characters add an entirely new level of fun to the game with each one having their own quirks and strengths.
One of the biggest draws in Awesomenauts: Overdrive is the crisp, new visuals that have been overhauled to produce a better looking game in regards to UI, character art and special effects. The new expansion also adds Ix the Interloper from the Design-Your-Naut 2 contest last fall to the Awesomenauts team. The new character can attach a link to other Awesomenauts to heal or damage them and he also has the ability to become damage immune for a short time.
However, the best part of Awesomenauts: Overdrive is the addition of a new matchmaking system that gives players a more balanced match alongside improved connection stability. This system also makes sure that players of similar skills and connection speed can be matched up for a more immersive gameplay experience. The expansion also does away with the drop-in/drop-out system for one that always starts with full matches and leaving players are only given the option to rejoin.
In the end, Awesomenauts: Overdrive offers a great deal of replayability to the popular Awesomenauts game making it even more awesome than before! If you have been looking for a reason to jump back into the action then check out Awesomenauts: Overdrive today! To learn more, visit the official Awesomenauts: Overdrive website.
