SEUM: Speedrunners From Hell (Video Game Review)

Headup Games has released SEUM: Speedrunners From Hell for PC.

SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell has made its way to Steam as one of the world's first competitive heavy metal first-person platformers. The new game is like a weird combination of some of the best elements from Quake 3 and Super Meat Boy with a focus on speed and fast reactions.

SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell has players racing over various platforms and shooting fireballs to reach the end of the level in the least amount of time. The game features a ton of fun mechanics, such as the ability to reverse time and gravity.

Fans of old school games will enjoy over 100 levels in SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell. The speed-running game will have you continuously trying to beat your top score while making your way through each level as fast as you possibly can. Gamers will find a ton of replayability in the game since you are always trying to reach the top of the leaderboards and beat out your competition from around the world. If you prove yourself to be the toughest there is, then you have the chance to receive an Uber Skull medal.

SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell is all about speed and adrenaline but there are also hidden secrets within each level like hidden refreshments. Nothing beats an ice-cold beer after a long and exciting run across each level.

While running across each level to the old-school graphics and hardcore metal soundtrack can be extremely fun, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell doesn't offer up much in regards to gameplay outside of this. The game basically feels like you are watching a movie and it got stuck on fast-forward throughout the entire film.

If you are a fan of puzzles and have the urge to continuously beat out everyone and rise to the top of the leaderboards, then SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell might be the game for you. To learn more, visit the official SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell Steam page.

Features:
  • Can’t get much more old school than this!
  • 100 levels, each more devilish than the last, with secrets around every corner.
  • Shoot fireballs, reverse gravity, teleport and dodge obstacles to solve challenges.
  • Leaderboards in each level so you can see how you fare against your friends (and enemies).
  • Original soundtrack that'll have you tearing through the levels with blazing speed.

Score: 7 out of 10
