Party Hard (Video Game Review)

tinyBuild has added some massive new updates to Party Hard.

Party Hard
has received some large updates on Steam that now expands twitch integration while adding local multiplayer and new levels. BioGamer Girl thought it was the perfect time to check out the game with all the new updates to the main game.

The updates also added a Youtube-safe OST which fixes the problem that Youtubers had with copyright strikes. The new twitch systems allows chat to control the NPCs during the game with a cross-stream points system. This feature alone adds a whole new level of replayability of mayhem to the game.

In Party Hard, players are awoke at 3 a.m. by their noisy neighbors who are partying way too hard. It is up to use to stop the party at all costs by using stealth mechanics to create a bloody mess of those who have awoken you from your slumber. That will teach 'em!

The updated game now has a new story DLC that takes place ten years after the events of Party Hard which includes a new mini-story campaign and several large levels. The game's main premise is rather ingenious since you can take on the role of five playable characters. The story revolves around the fact that you don't feel like calling the cops and would rather use a knife and your surrounding environment just to kill everyone. And you thought you got a little cranky when you didn't get enough sleep!

Party Hard contains semi-procedural environments which allow the player to focus on very unique ways of killing party goers. As in any stealth game, your goal is not to get caught, while you silently knock off each unsuspecting victim one by one. This means you have to blend into your environment and even dance a little so everyone thinks you are just another normal party goer.

All-in-all, Party Hard is a fun game despite the few bugs and technical glitches. The 8-bit graphics take you back to your early days of gaming and the fun soundtrack really sets the mood for some mayhem. If you have been looking for a fun game to play during your time off this holiday season, then you just might want to check out Party Hard.

Features:

  • A (not)serious story that follows a series of murders through the USA
  • 19 unique levels with random variations on each one
  • Use traps, cause explosions, become a ninja
  • Multiple unlock-able characters
  • Special random events, like a bear coming in and killing everyone for you
  • Trigger the DEA, SWAT cars, paramedics, firefighters to come in and ruin the party

5 Playable Characters:

  • The guy who wants to get some sleep
  • The ninja who is fast, stealthy, has a smoke bomb, but shouldn't be seen
  • The cop who can carry around bodies without suspicion, and frame other people
  • The girl who can knock people out
  • The butcher who has a chainsaw
