DC Universe Online Reveals Special In-Game Events For Sixth Anniversary


DC Universe Online is celebrating its sixth anniversary with special in-game events.


The sixth anniversary of Daybreak Games’ DC Universe™ Online (DCUO) is here, and with it comes new limited-time in-game events that will unite Super Heroes and Super-Villains. Players must travel through time to a new version of Metropolis, where a Qwardian invasion from the Antimatter Universe threatens the Earth, and take on the Anti-Monitor to save the world from destruction. All participating characters will be scaled up to a high combat rating to allow players of nearly all levels to join this fight to save the world.

The special Anti-Monitor anniversary event features:

  • New Open World Missions: Metropolis Antimatter Invasion Zone
  • New 8-Player Raid: Centennial Collapse
  • New Gear, Collections, Feats, and More
    • New Anti-Monitor-inspired gear
    • New auto-leveling gear set
    • New base items and consumables

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups.
