HBO Hosting Panels For The Leftovers, Girls and Room 104 at 2017 ATX Television Festival
HBO announces new details for panels at the 2017 ATX Television Festival.
The HBO series THE LEFTOVERS, GIRLS and ROOM 104 are confirmed for panels at the 2017 ATX Television Festival, which returns for its sixth year June 8-11 in Austin, Tex. In addition, Casey Bloys, president, HBO programming, will appear on the panel “The Presidents of the State of TV.”
Thursday, June 8
THE LEFTOVERS: “The Leftovers: The End”
Location: SFA Ballroom
Time: 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Panelists: Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, co-creators, writers and executive producers, and Mimi Leder, director and executive producer. The moderator will be Maureen Ryan (Variety). Following the June 4 debut of the series finale, panelists will discuss the creative collaboration that led to the show’s final season.
Friday, June 9
“The Presidents of the State of TV”
Location: SFA Ballroom
Time: 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Panelists: Casey Bloys (president, HBO programming), Jennifer Salke (president, NBC Entertainment), Nick Grad (president, original programming, FX), Craig Erwich (SVP, head of content, Hulu) and Gary Levine (president of programming, Showtime). The moderator will be Debra Birnbaum (Variety).
These “powers that be” will discuss such topics as the mounting pressures of defining their brands while maintaining and growing their audiences, the changing models of picking up and distributing series, and creating content that pushes the medium forward in an ever-diversifying landscape.
GIRLS: “Hannah’s Squad: Sometimes It Takes a Girls Village”

Panelists: Cast members Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Desi Harperin) and Jon Glaser (Laird Schlesinger), director Richard Shepard, casting director Jen Euston, and Kathleen McCaffrey, vice president, HBO programming. The moderator will be Debra Birnbaum (Variety). The panel celebrates the recently completed final season.
