World to the West Review (PC)

Rain Games has released World to the West for PC.

World to the West is a 3D action adventure where you are tasked with unveiling the mysteries of an ancient prophecy. World to the West is a top-down adventure game with beautiful cartoony graphics that are inspired by European adventure comics. Gamers take control of four adventurers who all have their own motivations, skills and storylines to add to the game's exciting plot. Players will meet Lumina the Teslamancer, Knaus the orphan, Miss Teri the mind bender and strongman, Lord Clonington.

In World to the West has gamers traveling through well-crafted landscapes where they will come across crooked colonies, flourishing jungles and even ice-covered tundras, while trying to uncover the secrets of a forgotten civilization.

World to the West is set in the same world as Teslagrad with fun polygonal graphics that fully immerse gamers into its world.

World to the West has some gameplay elements that would remind you of classic games like Zelda. The game does a great job of introducing all of the characters in various chapters before they become the rag-tag crew of adventurers we grow to love. Each hero has had something taken from them and they set out to stop the person who did it before he ruins the world they know. The game takes place across a large open map with certain areas being unlocked by your characters abilities.

World to the West features a great puzzle design which also links into your characters abilities and the enemies you face in battle. There are also a ton of secret paths to explore and over 36 scrolls to find across the game world. The writing in World to the West is very humorous and plays well into the game's soundtrack and visuals.

In the end, World to the West is a fun game that challenges you every step along the way. Despite a few technical glitches and the meaningless combat at time, the game managed to offer up an enjoyable experience that stays true to everything you loved about Teslagrad. Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
