In Bandai Namco's new release, you find that Svart Alfheim and the Accelerated World are starting to merge. With everything up in the air, players find that Yui has gone missing. It is now up to Kirito to venture to the Acclerated World and challenge the Seven Kings of pure color to gain access to her whereabouts once and for all. In this beautifully written story, players from both organizations must work together in this vicious war of the worlds where only the best of the best Burst Linkers and ALO Players can save Yui from the grasp of Personna Babel.
The Accelerated World is full of fun things to explore with a slew of characters from the series. Accel World vs Sword Art Online also gives players to opportunity to take to the skies with the addition of the fairy flight mechanic which takes gameplay to all new heights. Long term fans will also appreciate the fact that the original story now collides with that of the game's epic characters creating an immersive storyline and gameplay.
Accel World vs Sword Art Online does a fantastic job of bringing together the two series that Reki Kawahara created. The characters of both worlds team up to defeat a common evil and the story unfolds across cut-scenes which are much shorter than they were in past series. The characters all have special abilities to learn and master, which helps the game from becoming too repetitive, but the AI in the game aren't very good. The locations and map within the game could have used a little more pizzazz. However, the game makes up for some of its downfalls in its fun side quests and responsive controls during combat.
