LEGO Worlds: Classic Space DLC Review (Xbox One)

LEGO Worlds
has received the "Classic Space Pack." Read on for our review.

LEGO Worlds has just received its first DLC with the Classic Space Pack that gives players new space themed content. The new DLC allows access to new quests, characters, builds and vehicles to explore the vast reaches of space. You can journey across the land and skies with the Space Buggy and Space Cruiser. There is also access to the Mineral Detector that allows you to excavate parts of the Moon. But the best part, gamers get to explore an entirely new world with a classic space theme.

In order to properly check out the DLC, BioGamer Girl had to delve the universe that is LEGO Worlds.

LEGO Worlds is a sandbox game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This ridiculously fun game allows players to construct their very own virtual world made out of lego bricks. If you start out in story mode, then it will teach you how to complete missions to gain new tools and items that make building your very own custom world that much easier. In story mode, you venture across several different types of lands that includes one made out of sweets, a volcanic world and even a prehistoric one with cavemen. As you complete the objectives, the player gains gold bricks that allow him/her to start their spaceship to travel to the next world. In each world, you get a new device that allows you to manipulate, copy or move objects in order to better craft the world around you.

In LEGO Worlds, gamers collect studs that are used as currency. These studs can be completed by hitting objects around the map or completing missions. You can then use the currency to upgrade and unlock items to better suit your journey. The more you learn throughout each world, then the better idea you get of the worlds that you want to personally create. You can either use predefined structures or create your own with the brick-by-brick editor tool. There are several tools that can help you manipulate the landscape to create mountains, oceans and more. You can even customize your character's appearance and costumes. Another fun aspect of LEGO Worlds is the wide array of fun vehicles to jump in that includes boats, helicopters and more. There is also the ability to play with other gamers and to share custom worlds among the community. The vast customization options within LEGO Worlds really adds a great depth of immersion and replayability to the game.

LEGO Worlds is a colorful, vibrant land full of opportunity for those wishing to pursue it. The humorous characters and witty storyline compliments the game's soundtrack perfectly. The controls are tight and responsive allowing gamers to fully immerse themselves into their virtual creations. The addition of the Classic Space Pack allows for even more exploration into a fun space themed world. As someone who resides in Rocket City (Huntsville, AL), I can truly understand the child-like enthusiasm that space can bring out in the young and old alike.

All-in-all, LEGO Worlds is an engaging and fun sandbox game that has something that everyone can enjoy. However, the addition of the Classic Space Pack brings something new and unexplored to the game allowing players to blast their way into the dark depths of space and explore as a true astronaut. If you have been looking for a way to create a virtual world full of adventure, then look no further with LEGO Worlds: Classic Space Pack. To learn more, visit the official LEGO Worlds website.
