ELEX Review (PS4)

THQ Nordic has released ELEX for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

ELEX is now available and brings gamers a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy universe that has been hand crafted with immaculate detail. ELEX contains a massive overworld for gamers to explore with their handy, dandy jetpack. The game contains so much content that it can take around 50 or more hours to finish your initial playthrough.

ELEX is a dark RPG with science fiction elements that takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe. The world is fighting over a weird resource called ELEX that manages to give humans a type of magic power. The game combines futuristic and medieval elements to produce an unique and immersive gameplay experience.

The story of ELEX revolves around the planet Magalan which is hit by a meteor. The ones who make it through the destruction must struggle to survive. A resource called ELEX is left behind from the meteor which has the ability to power machinery, reshape life or offer the gift of magical powers. Our protagonist uses ELEX to rid themselves of emotion in order to make decisions based entirely off logic. After a crash, our former Albs member has to face withdrawals all the while hiding from those who feel he has betrayed. There are three factions in the game which includes the Berserkers, Clerics and Outlaws which all operate under different mentalities and rules.

The combat mechanics in ELEX are very diverse with players being able to use magic, swords or firearms. There is a lot of content to explore and tons of side quests to try out with an interconnected system supporting the various choices of the player. The gamer will also face off against a wide array of mutated enemies while they make their way across ELEX's open world.

In the end, ELEX is an action-packed RPG that features a ton of fun content to keep gamers engaged until the very end. If you have been looking for a exciting game with beautiful visuals and immersive gameplay, then look no further with ELEX.
