Spellbound & Sanctified: Witches Collegium Returns for Year Four

The Witches Collegium returns bigger and more enchanting than ever; a free, family‑friendly, three‑day festival packed with hands‑on classes, a multi‑studio scavenger hunt, spirited witch walks, daily door prizes, and a full‑color downloadable event guide. What began in 2021 as one studio’s idea for Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment has blossomed into a weekend takeover that turns the Mill into a playground of makers, performances, and seasonal surprises from October 30 through November 1, 2025.

What to Expect

• Witch’s Classroom

Drop into free, 45‑minute hands‑on classes led by local teachers on crafts, ritual art, folklore, and playful esoterica. Instructors get a five‑minute wrap to share business cards, samples, or flyers.

• Witch’s Grimoire Downloadable Guide

Carry a full‑color PDF with class schedules, interactive maps highlighting participating studios, studio specials, coupons, and weekend notes; your pocket guide to the whole event.

• Daily Door Prizes & Fundraisers

Enter daily drawings for prizes and support occasional fundraisers that help keep special activations affordable and accessible to all attendees.

New This Year

Broader studio lineup: Forty‑seven Lowe Mill studios have signed on, bringing more artists, demos, and interactive stations than ever before.

Wider scavenger footprint: Expanded partnerships with off‑site businesses across Huntsville and Madison add exciting new stops and neighborhood activations to the Witch’s Quest.

Sustainable accessibility: New mini‑fundraisers will underwrite special activations so ticketed experiences remain low‑cost and accessible to the whole community.

Accessibility Inclusivity and Attire

Open and welcoming: This free weekend is family‑friendly and inclusive; all ages, abilities, and identities are invited, and every Lowe Mill studio is encouraged to join the fun.

Improved access: Lowe Mill’s elevator is back in service, providing easier access to upper‑floor studios and making the whole event more navigable for attendees with mobility needs.

Costume freedom: Costumes are encouraged for playful flair and photo moments, but not required; come fully witched out or casually dressed and still enjoy every magical moment.

How to Get Involved

Teach a class: Lead a free 45‑minute session on witchcraft, Halloween crafts, gaming, fantasy, metaphysical topics, or anything witchy and community‑minded. Message SPARKLE Studio on Facebook with your class title, a one‑sentence description, and your preferred day and time. Instructors receive a five‑minute wrap to share flyers, samples, or contact info.

Vendor opportunities: Don’t have a Lowe Mill studio but want to sell? Limited vendor spots may be available. Contact SPARKLE Studio directly to inquire. Official vendor outreach will only come from FB/IG @thatsparklestudio or emails from thatsparklestudio.com, beware of imitators and scams.

Share an idea: Have a creative suggestion or low‑cost activation to improve the Collegium? Post it on the event page or message SPARKLE Studio. Community ideas are essential to this volunteer‑powered, budget‑minded festival.

Participating Studios

Forty‑seven Lowe Mill studios are confirmed, featuring favorites and newcomers across the Mill. Highlights include SPARKLE Studio, Arduinna’s Forest, JMA Leatherworks, DragonCraft Soap, Embrace Candles, Mastermind Models and Miniatures, Pyewacket Press, ReMix, Warrior Forge Blacksmith, Starlight Arcade, Lucky Cat Designs, Theatre Huntsville, Studio of Fire, Paper Wasters Club, Beth McKay Art, Costume Mercenary, Goth & Goblin Eclectica, Irons One Distillery, Hale Fire Glass, Gathering Moss Studio, and The Eclectic Frog, plus many more artist studios, makers, and creative vendors.
