Day 4 Night Studios Unveils Bradley the Badger at The Game Awards — A Bold New Adventure From Veteran Creators of Red Dead Redemption & Mario + Rabbids

A brand-new hero scampered into the spotlight at The Game Awards this week as Day 4 Night Studios officially revealed Bradley the Badger, an inventive action-adventure title blending live-action storytelling, exploration, and freeform puzzle solving. The studio, founded by industry legends behind Red Dead Redemption, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Mario + Rabbids, is gearing up to deliver a heartfelt, humorous, and deeply meta adventure for PC via Steam, with additional platforms under exploration.

Adding an extra layer of star power, Bradley is portrayed in both voice and live-action sequences by award-winning actor Evan Peters (X-Men, Mare of Easttown, Dahmer, Tron: Ares), giving the beloved mascot a charismatic mix of warmth, earnestness, and unexpected emotional depth.

A Mascot Lost Between Worlds

In the world of Bradley the Badger, the brightly smiling mascot once known for classic platforming adventures suddenly awakens in bizarre, half-constructed environments. Everything feels off—unfinished art, missing assets, and strange landscapes that seem to break the rules of his own universe.

Determined to return home, Bradley journeys through a series of surreal, interconnected worlds while grappling with a mystery larger than anything he’s ever faced. His quest forces him to confront not just enemies and puzzles, but the very nature of his existence.

Bradley is part love letter to videogames and part satire of them,” said Christian Cantamessa, Co-Founder of Day 4 Night Studios. “This is a story inspired by our adventures making games—everything from self-doubt to the joy of building worlds.

A Game Made From Games: The Kit System

At the core of the experience is the Kit, a unique tool that gives Bradley the ability to modify and manipulate unfinished assets in real time—as if he were a developer inside his own game.

This powerful mechanic reshapes the entire adventure, allowing players to:

  • Transform environments for traversal
  • Reconfigure objects to solve puzzles
  • Alter the battlefield during combat
  • Explore worlds filled with raw, in-progress elements

Paired with his trusty frying pan, Bradley’s toolkit creates a dynamic sandbox of creativity, strategy, and discovery.

“We wanted to make something that would reignite our passion — something that made the world feel magical again, like when we first fell in love with videogames,” said co-founder Davide Soliani. “

This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
