John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Charges Toward Launch on March 12, 2026

A new zombie-splattering, ’80s-infused co-op shooter drops its release date trailer live at The Game Awards 2025

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have officially confirmed that the highly anticipated co-op action-horror shooter John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando will launch March 12, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Inspired by the legendary filmmaker’s signature blend of chaos, camp, and creature carnage, the announcement arrived alongside a brand-new trailer packed with undead mayhem during The Game Awards 2025.

Players can pre-order now to secure either the Standard Edition or the feature-rich Blood Edition, both of which include the Leon’s Secret Stash DLC as a free bonus.

A Catastrophe Born From Science… and Saved by Misfits

Set in a near future gone horribly wrong, Toxic Commando imagines a world where an ambitious attempt to tap into the Earth’s core mutates humanity and the land itself into sludge-soaked nightmares. With elite mercenaries priced out of the budget, scientist Leon Dorsey hires the next best option—THE TOXIC COMMANDOS, a hilariously underqualified but surprisingly deadly squad of four.

Players can team up in 4-player co-op with full crossplay, fighting through semi-open environments, mowing down hordes in armored vehicles, and unleashing an arsenal packed with guns, explosives, abilities… and even katanas. Survival isn’t just about firepower—teamwork is everything as mutated monstrosities swarm from every direction.

Pre-Order Bonuses & Blood Edition Breakdown

All pre-orders come with the Leon’s Secret Stash DLC, but players looking for the ultimate experience can grab the Blood Edition, which includes:

  • Two post-launch DLC packs
  • Unique skins for characters, weapons, and vehicles
  • A golden cosmetic pack for weapon skins and charms

Both Standard and Blood Editions are available now across all platforms.

More Content Creeping In After Launch

The apocalypse doesn’t stop on release day. Saber Interactive confirms that free updates will continue rolling out after launch, introducing fresh:

  • Missions
  • Enemies
  • Weapons
  • Vehicles

This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
