Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Brings a New Adventure to Consoles and PC

Fans of cozy farming adventures have something new to look forward to. Natsume has officially announced Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, the next entry in the long running farming simulation series. The upcoming title will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in the mysterious land of Teradea, the story begins in Bloomfield Village, the peaceful place where your character grew up. Recently, an eerie mist has begun spreading from the nearby Forest of Echoes, bringing danger along with it. Wild wolves now roam the land at night, and rumors speak of a massive guardian wolf that commands them.

Together with your best friend, you decide to investigate and tame the wolves. What starts as a small mission quickly becomes a much larger journey across Teradea. Along the way, players will help restore balance to the region by assisting powerful Guardian Spirits and supporting struggling communities.

Your travels will take you to several unique locations across the world. In the port village of Tidewind, violent storms threaten the coast and must be investigated. The mining settlement of Quarrytop is experiencing mysterious earthquakes that put its future at risk. Meanwhile, the once thriving cultural hub of Maplehill is fading and needs help restoring its former life and energy.

While exploring these areas, players will still focus on the classic activities that define the Harvest Moon series. Farming crops, raising animals, and building relationships with villagers remain at the heart of the experience. As the seasons pass and friendships grow, the truth behind the strange mist and the Forest of Echoes will slowly reveal itself.

The new game also introduces several gameplay features designed to expand exploration and interaction throughout Teradea.

Key Features

Ten New Love Interests

Players will meet ten potential partners, including five bachelors and five bachelorettes. Each character has their own personality and story, allowing players to build relationships and eventually choose someone to marry.

New Exploration Abilities

Movement and discovery are expanding in this entry. Players can jump to reach hidden areas and climb ladders or vines to uncover resources and secrets scattered throughout the world.

Animal Companion System

Animals are no longer limited to the farm. Players can bring pets and mounts along while exploring. Each companion offers unique abilities that help navigate the environment and reach new locations.

Untamed Wilderness

The wilderness is more dangerous than before. Wild animals such as wolves, bears, and even tigers roam the land. If players are caught off guard, they may lose collected items and wake up back at their farm.

Island Exploration

With the help of nautical charts, players can discover remote islands filled with treasure and rare animals not found on the mainland.

Happilia System

Helping villagers and improving communities rewards players with Happilia. This new system reflects the happiness and growth of Teradea as players assist its residents and restore the land.

According to Natsume President and CEO Hiro Maekawa, more details about Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will be revealed in the coming months. The publisher also plans to introduce special editions and pre order bonuses for collectors and longtime fans of the franchise.

The Harvest Moon series has been a beloved part of gaming since its North American debut in 1997. Known for its relaxing gameplay and family friendly design, the franchise has grown to include more than thirty titles across multiple generations of consoles.

With its mix of farming, exploration, and community building, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea looks ready to continue that tradition while introducing new mechanics and a larger world to explore. Fans of the series and newcomers alike will soon have another cozy adventure waiting in Teradea.
