Season 02 Reloaded Drops Massive Mid-Season Update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone

The mid-season content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone is almost here, and Season 02 Reloaded is shaping up to be one of the biggest updates yet. Launching March 11 at 9 AM PT, this update introduces a huge wave of new content across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone—including new maps, modes, weapons, and gameplay systems designed to shake up the battlefield.

From a brand-new Zombies experience to the arrival of Black Ops Royale, players will have plenty of reasons to jump back in.

Endgame Evolves with Glitch Fractures and Nightmare Skills

Season 02 Reloaded expands the Endgame experience with new high-risk encounters and deeper operator progression.

Players exploring Avalon will now encounter Glitch Fractures, mysterious portals that open after defeating powerful Strike Bosses in Nightmare Zones. These fractures transport squads into off-map arenas where waves of enemies escalate toward a final showdown against the Glitch Boss.

Defeating this boss unlocks Nightmare Skills, an advanced upgrade system that pushes operator specializations even further, giving players new tactical abilities and stronger builds for late-game combat.

Another major addition is the Exotic Fabricator, a device that allows players to upgrade any loadout or field weapon to Exotic rarity. With repeated visits, these weapons grow more powerful, encouraging players to craft customized builds tailored to their playstyle.

Multiplayer Adds Five Maps and New Competitive Modes

Multiplayer receives a substantial boost with five maps arriving mid-season.

Two of them focus on classic 6v6 action:

  • Torque – A chaotic battlefield inspired by the twisted aftermath of the Battle of Los Angeles.
  • Cliff Town – A reimagining of the classic Yemen map from Black Ops II, rebuilt as a dramatic cliffside settlement in Avalon.

For larger engagements, Mission: Peak expands the 20v20 Skirmish mode, giving players a sprawling battlefield built for large-scale tactical fights.

Fan-favorite maps Grind and Firing Range, previously seen in earlier Black Ops entries, also return—bringing nostalgic chaos back to the rotation.

Two new modes will also shake up the playlist:

  • Gauntlet Mode – Teams compete across five different game types played sequentially, testing adaptability and skill across multiple objectives.
  • Infected (Returning) – A party-style survival mode where infected players hunt survivors in a fast-paced last-stand battle.

Additionally, the update introduces a new Lockshot Scorestreak, a smart targeting weapon capable of locking onto multiple enemies and eliminating them in quick succession.

Zombies Introduces Paradox Junction

Zombies fans will get a brand-new round-based map called Paradox Junction.

The story sees the crew trapped in a temporal prison created by The Warden after two Shadowsmiths fall. Players must survive a surreal time loop environment while searching for a way to escape.

New threats and gear debut alongside the map:

  • Rad-Hound – A fast, explosive enemy that releases radioactive clouds when killed.
  • Blundergat Returns – The powerful quad-barreled shotgun makes its return, capable of shredding through zombie hordes.

Players can upgrade it into the Sundergat, unlocking devastating abilities including charged Purges, soul-ripping blasts, and a focused Exile beam capable of tearing through enemies.

Several classic mechanics also return with new twists:

  • Electro Shock Trap – Electrifies and stuns zombies caught in its coils.
  • Loot Cysts – Organic containers that burst open with helpful items.
  • Randomized Perk Machines – Perks appear across different timelines, forcing players to adapt.

The map also features a full Main Quest, new Pack-a-Punch camos, weekly challenges, and event rewards.

Season 02 Reloaded also introduces the Turncoat GobbleGum, which temporarily converts nearby zombies into allies that fight for the player.

Warzone Gets Black Ops Royale

Warzone players will see a major new mode arrive shortly after the Reloaded update.

Launching March 12 at 9 PM PT, Black Ops Royale introduces a new battle royale experience inspired by the classic Blackout mode.

Players will drop into Avalon with minimal gear and scavenge for weapons, upgrades, and returning Blackout-inspired equipment while battling to be the last squad standing.

Gameplay adjustments include refreshed perk systems for Momentum, Berserker, and Hunter, encouraging new strategies across Battle Royale and Resurgence matches.

A fast-paced limited-time mode called Extreme Resurgence will also be available during select weekends.

New Weapons, Events, and Store Bundles

Season 02 Reloaded also adds several new weapons and attachments:

  • Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle – A high-damage rifle with strong handling.
  • Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle – A powerful four-round burst weapon designed for precision eliminations.
  • Echo 12 Backlash Launcher Kit
  • MXR-17 ANV Conversion Attachments

Mid-season events will allow players to unlock weapons, attachments, and cosmetic rewards through challenges tied to Ranked Play, Black Ops Royale, and Paradox Junction.

Meanwhile, the in-game store will introduce new Ultra, Reactive, and Mastercraft skins through a variety of bundles.

A Massive Mid-Season Content Drop

Season 02 Reloaded looks set to deliver a major refresh for the Black Ops 7 ecosystem, bringing new ways to play across every major mode.

Whether you're chasing Nightmare Skills in Endgame, surviving time loops in Zombies, or dropping into the chaos of Black Ops Royale, this mid-season update offers something for every type of Call of Duty player.

Season 02 Reloaded goes live March 11, with Black Ops Royale arriving the following night in Warzone.
