PS Vita TV Allows Gamers to Play Handheld System on Other Devices

Sony announced today the upcoming PS Vita TV device that will allow gamers that own a PlayStation Vita to play it on their television at home with the help of a DualShock 3 controller. Moreover, the hardware will allow PlayStation Vita owners to enjoy all of their games on the big screen including PlayStation One Classics and PSP games, and new apps such as Hulu and Netflix are compatible with PS Vita TV as well. The device is expected to receive an update later that will also allow it to play PlayStation 4 via Remote Play and DualShock 4 to make PS Vita TV a must own device for the next generation as well.

PS Vita TV is scheduled to arrive in Japan on November 14, 2013 and will cost 9,480 yen or roughly $95, and a special edition package with a DualShock 3 controller and an 8 GB memory card for 14,980 yen or roughly $150. The device has yet to be announced for North America but is likely to be announced in the coming months.
