Blizzard has announced the release date for the upcoming Battle for Azeroth expansion. World of Warcraft gets its latest giant update on August 14, 2018. New features include randomized island expeditions, quests, dungeons, raids, and allied races. While players lose their artifact weapons as they enter the expansion, there will be new ways to develop characters through the azerite system, a resource that powers items and allows the player to tailor characters to their own particular playstyle. Two huge new zones are the backbone of the expansion, Zandalar for the Horde and Kul Tiras for the Alliance. At the new max level of 120, players will journey between these two continents and find plenty to do in both areas - though the opposing areas are considerably less friendly.
